Calling time online

So evidently, according to the new patch, SDS temporarily disabled this option in H2H games.
One option, other than hitting R2, that can be used to combat quick pitching.
Really?

These are the only timea I ever call time while batting:
- When my opponent dots me on a great pitch: Just to give him an unofficial nod of respect on a great pitch.
- When my opponent completely fools me, making me look like I'm swatting butterflies. This is just to show him, dang u got me on that one!
- When he takes too long deciding on a pitch to throw. So I'll kindly/mockingly give him even more time.
- When the ump calls a strike that was at least 75% a ball. Basically to say, that was not a strike.
- When I hit a homerun on a Just late or just early swing, but it mysteriously goes foul by 5 feet or less. Lol.
That's pretty much the only time I ever call time.

I'm only calling time when I'm swinging poorly and it's a critical situation - just to snap out of it
