SDS, your current format is a little undesirable, but can be so much better.

Don't get me wrong, ppl who aren't WS gamers still enjoy being able to earn either Randy or Ernie. I actually like the Ranked Seasons grindy reward path overall.

However, have any of you seen the excessive price dip on both cards? Randy Johnson and Ernie Banks were at around 200k a cpl days ago. Now they've dropped to 38-40k. Why? Bc a huge amount of ppl have reached them in the reward path and more ppl are reaching WS. The supply is far exceeding the demand.

    Here's a little idea/proposal I've come up with.

Keep the current ranked format, but maybe add a few more juicier rewards. Allow ppl 3 card options instead of 2 like it used to be.
And, how about adding 3 more tradeable cards to only WS players.
This way, those who don't make ws will still get a choice of 3 cards. Maybe even extend the ranked path to aquire all 3 cards.

Then those who grind to WS should get rewarded with a choice of 3 exclusive WS cards.

This way there are 2 major sets of rewards to grind Instead of one path where everyone eventually gets the same rewards.

I think it will be more fun to grind ranked knowing there's more exclusive rewards to play for.

Would only work if those 3 extra cards, exclusive to players who make WS, were non-sellable.

But if they were non-sellable; then they couldn't be assigned to any collections.

The game needs less exclusive rewards. Excluding people from getting their favorite player is not good game design.

I think the 1 out of 3 model from last year was fine though, but I feel there should be an either/or option for people to do ranked or an offline grind for just one of them. Make the offline one no sale.

@Teak2112 exluding people or making people earn something, the ranked rewards used to be great to get stubs, now that everyone gets a trophy for participating it crushes the value, the old way of ranked was better. Either make or WS or dont.

@chucky97___ yes but it might be a good time to buy a few of those ws rewards because if there isn't a rewind their value will skyrocket when the first collection drops.

@go4stros25 as expected. They should be no sell out of the program in my humble opinion. Make making world series mean something.Athought last year they did that and the community threw a giant fit.

SDS could choose to make the 3 exclusive WS player rewards non sellable if they want. However, I feel those who grind the toughest mode to WS should have the option of selling those cards to make stubs.

As for your 2nd point, you're right. It wouldn't be right to include those cards in collections if they weren't sellable. Which is why they should be sellable.

I feel all the cards earned should be sellable and optional to put in collections, but not needed to do so.

I'd be happy if I could play a game without soft kids quitting after they concede a run.

Yeah. But then you're back to 1M stub cards. That's why SDS has it this way.

You'll make stubs by hitting RS before anyone hits the card in the program path.

They dtopped as soon as they were able to be obtained thru the path.

Hit RS early. Sell the card. Get the non-sellable card and use part of your stubs yo buy the second card cheap. You'll still come ahead.

Plus when the next Ranked season starts; you'll be closer to WS than you were the first season.

@chucky97___ I disagree, the players good enough to make 900 or go 10-0 benefit because they get to the rewards way before the rest of us. They can then sell the rewards for hundreds of thousands. The rest of us will get to the rewards when they are worth 40k, and we cant sell them. No need to cater to the top 2% even more than they already do, that's how games die.

I understand how to maximize the value of those 2 cards. And how to use the current ranked system. Sell early, earn the non sellable later = maximum profits.
There's no argument in what you're saying.
I'm just proposing SDS to add more exclusive cards. Ranked should have 2 separate progression systems. BR should also have more exclusive options. Add a 12-0 exclusive rewards to events, like in the past.

What they've done is literally watered down everything, and made everything easily obtainable to everyone just for showing up.
It's like in little league where everyone gets the same trophy just for playing.

There's little worth grinding for, especially for those who go flawless in BR, "Like in the past" and those who make WS, "like in the past."

Please explain why this is a problem for you.
DD is meant to be a competitive mode where ppl play h2h.
Those who grind, sweat, and play better against other players deserve the better rewards regardless how it makes you feel.

If you prefer to play offline franchise, rtts, offline everything, then that's fine. U do u. Enjoy playing against the cpu. But stating emotional opinions to seem factual based on your own perceived logic makes you look salty.
You basically want a free and easy training wheel ride to exclusive cards bc you're not good enough to earn them.
Those hardcore gamers who grind online are who's keeping this game alive in August-December.

Yes. They're keeping the game alive. But who are they going to play against when 'little timmy' is no longer playing because its to hard for them to get good cards?

I get what you're saying; but SDS, as a business, doesn't make money off the players that can constantly make WS or constantly go Flawless. They make money off the other 98% of the fan base.
