Pitching online

Is anyone else having an unusually difficult time getting people out online? Seems like strikeouts are way down this year as well.
I'm not a WS player or anything, maybe max out in the 700s, but I've never struggled pitching like this before.

@go4stros25 if you face me you will get plenty but Iām in the 400ās so Iām sure your just playing good players that rarely strikeout and pitching does seem harder

Metered pitching feels absolutely broken this year way too many hanging balls on good releases

Itās due to the power creep. Strikeouts will go up one we get pitchers with better k per 9

I have to agree with this. I have forever used metered pitching and this year I am throwing batting practice. Any slight miss is a meatball. I gave up a 505ft HR the other night haha

This for sure. Personally Iāve only played two ranked games, which were both on veteran, and it was a struggle to get swing and miss for sure, Iāve played more event games on All Star, and itās still not easy, but the kās come more frequently.

With me everything seems to hang a lot using pinpoint and I thought it was just me. Glad to know I'm not the only one struggling with pitching rn.

Pitching really needs looked at. It's ridiculous how hard pitching is right now. Hitting is overpowered and as the power creep happens its just gonna stay the same.

No one in SDS is a WS player. I doubt anyone even makes Championship. They have no clue. SP this year compared to hitters is one sided. With the exception of Donaldson, Babe, Randy, and Burnes, most SP are very hittable.
The numbers on hitters with the Buxton or Arenado boost heavily outweigh pitching numbers.
SDS doesn't understand this. The 2nd best player online had a ERA over 5.00.... That's a problem. Now pitching on Legend is a bit better, but going through the lower ranks is tough, especially against good hitters.
This needs to be addressed.

Because you can be very early and swing at a pitch that bounces in the dirty and still foul it off. Couple that with the fact that almost nothing on the corners is called a strike and you are left this mess we have now.
Also non meta pitches are still way too hittable against most people at higher levels. Honestly this game needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. The fact that were in like year 3 of just giving everyone sinkers because without it the cards arent useful should be way more alarming to everyone.

I definitely agree on the excess fouling off pitches on balls no where near the strike zone. I have benefited greatly but I understand they need to improve that to make it a more competitive game.
The umps are really bad as well. Wish they made it so if it touches the zone its an automatic strike

Pitching is a little better after the patch...although a few players still feel broken (I'm looking at you Eric Gagne). With that said, pitching would be "ok" if they would let you strike out guys who deserve to strike out. It's hard to have to make 9 good pitches every at bat. Curiously enough...its always the same type of opponent that gets the benefit of these unlimited chances. Honestly it's the biggest thing in this game that needs to be changed. That's where the real "rng" is at. It's not the late hits or very early hits...its the excessive, and unbalanced, amount of extra chances that are given to bad players.
