Does DD get boring?
-
This is going to be my 3rd year playing DD and I loved it the past two years because everything was new to me. Now I'm looking at the cards they're releasing for this year's game and seeing that it's pretty much every card I played with last year, just with way worse attributes. I know some people have been playing DD for years and wonder if those people are tired of it?

My love of baseball, competitiveness(and video games) has kept me coming back for 7 years now
I definitely felt burnt out last year and stopped around set 3 I believe it was.
I’m ready to hop back in

At my level, I approach DD each year as a challenge to finish with a ranked record above .500. That keeps things interesting because I'm a terrible hitter and I don't spam bunt cheese.

This will be my fourth year playing, and I plan on playing when it's released on GamePass. I only started playing when it was released on Xbox, and this was the first sports game I ever played online and the first game I've played online regularly since Modern Warfare 2 for the Xbox 360.
It all depends on how you play. If you only play offline, then absolutely yes. Offline is a slog for me. I mainly played offline during my first year until mid-July, when I tried online. Overall, I was a .220 hitter.
When I really started to challenge myself, I played online mainly after that and played on HOF and Legend. Before, I couldn't score a run on HOF. Now, I get to WS regularly (but with some challenges). I find the fun in challenging myself at 40 years old against the best of players in their 20s and younger and ending with 260ish wins and 130 losses in Ranked (I got destroyed late in the season by the top 50 players)
I would recommend challenging yourself. I think it's way more rewarding and keeps me coming back. This year I will take a step back due to other things in life and play a lot less. Its been dominating my life a little too much lately.
