Controller only in the midde?

I'm sure this may have been covered at length in some past posts that I'm unable to find. But, I'm going to pose the question. I only play 23 franchise with CPU vs CPU. No human interactions what so ever. I watch ever game of my franchise team with the controller in the middle, but I watch, just not simulate. My question is what would be perhaps the most realistic slider setting in this situation. I've looked online for this info, but I'm never sure if the CPU vs CPU settings I see recommended are just for straight sims or actually watching your favorite team play with the controller in the middle? If, So, Does it make a difference?

Good question I’d like to know that too I used to play kind of that way with the old Tecmo bowl. Of course I would still make some decisions but I like the fact that I wasn’t in control.
