Event play on Switch

I've gotten 2 matches so far tonight and I quit out of both due to excessive bunt dancing and excessive pausing, I just can't play against those type of people so I gave up and nj now am back to mini seasons and or conquest

Trying to play the Event on Nintendo switch with cross play off since it's so lagy vs Xbox and Playstation players and now can't find an opponent, is there anything I can do
I get that you aren't able to get a PS5 or XBX (I remember this coming up before), but I sincerely believe the Switch version is like a backup...to use while you're traveling and such. It's good and fun in a pinch, but if the game is to be purely enjoyed, the necessary hardware to take advantage of the programming is necessary.
If an XBX is purchased, there is a way (if it's still available) to get Gamepass for a fraction of the cost of subscribing to it outright (there are several posts about it). With Gamepass, the game is free. It's the basic current gen version (no early access), but with the right monitor, it's 120Hz and 120FPS - very smooth and pretty.
Hopefully, someone with the Switch version that plays online will get on and you can get a match, but how many of the players on a Switch actually get online?
Buying the game and online service for his Switch is cheaper than paying $17 a month for GamePass.

You can get Gamepass for much less than that. New subscribers get the first month for $1 and at that time, you can convert Xbox live subscriptions at a 3:2 ratio (it used to be 1:1). When I did it, I got 3 years of Gamepass for $180. That's $5 a month.

I assume you paid for all 3 years at once. $180 is larger than $50 by more than 3. The online service for a Switch is incredibly cheap compared to our consoles. This is giving me a headache.
Also, are you buying his XBox for him? A Series X preferably.

Not everyone is as fortunate as us to have the ability to buy the Switch as their second console. I’m about to buy the XBox as my second console since I wanna play Indiana Jones but I’m luckier than most people.

I understand that. That's why I began my paragraph as I did. It was still an "if" statement (no, not computer or Excel IF). For someone on the brink of buying an Xbox, it's good knowledge to have. I know I appreciated it when it was shared when I was looking. Cheers

You offered him absolutely zero assistance other than bragging about how his main console was your backup console. Well your main console is the one I’m gonna buy to play 1 game and then use for a paperweight. Cheers.

That’s how it comes off which I found as weird because you aren’t like that. Obviously, I’m not using the XBox as a paperweight either.

All good man, I was just checking to see if there was an easier way to get a match switch vs switch
-
Have 3 Event wins so far, should have 5 but these common pitchers suck, I had a 4-2 lead and lost 5-4 and had a 6-4 lead and lost 7-6 because my SS held on to the ball even though I was hitting the button for him to throw it so I'm done for now might hop back in later
