LG Monitor Question

I just bought a new one. Whenever I put it on or play a different game, I get a message.
It says 'Configure the PC resolution to 2560×1440'
Is this important? It also asks if you don't want to see that message again. -
That just means it is not at its native resolution of 2560x1440. You can ignore it if you want to play at 1920x1080, but it will look better at its native resolution.
