Does the PS5 Haptic controller make a big difference for this game?
-
Got a PS5 and thinking about picking this game up for that system just to try it .
Do the Haptic controllers make a big difference in the game?
-
The ps5 controller is the most comfortable controller to date imo, but as far as haptic feedback making a difference, i doubt it.
-
The game doesn’t use the touchpad for hardly anything anymore. It was used to get the pitcher/batter cards at one point. It doesn’t use the adaptive triggers or haptic feedback.

Let me know how you like the feel (how it sits in your hand, the responsiveness of the sticks, etc.) of the PS controller over the XBX controller. I find the Fusion Pro 2 to be much more comfortable, but I'm interested in what your take is on it.

I say to each his own on the controllers. I have an XBox One X and for me using the controller is not comfortable because it isn’t my primary console and my hand isn’t use to the joystick being in an unfamiliar place after using PlayStation controllers for nearly 30 years.

I find the FP2 fits better in my hand, and the sticks are a little stiffer, which gives me a better "feeling" of control. It could be that my PS5 controller is worn out, though.
This is why I'm interested in other's opinions on the matter!
Thanks.

That too. Sony has kept the same basic design for 30 years and it just feels comfortable in my hand. I feel I can grip it better. If I used the XBox more I would probably get use to it but I didn’t upgrade to their current gen yet. That’s my next gaming purchase after the holidays.

When I went to the five i experienced some crazy forearm soreness for the first few weeks and I’ve worked almost exclusively with my hands for the past three plus decades lol I’m thinking there had to be some kind of slight change to the analog stick placement. Come to think of it I started playing MLBTS at the same time so it may have just been that I was playing vidya games more intensely than I had ever done before and might have zero to do with the controller layout whatsoever lol but wanted to put it out there since you’re collecting information
I bet you’ll love it

thanks for the feedback. does the PS5 version still have the sounds coming out of the controller like the PS4 DS did? Especially in RTTS.

Yes they certainly do lol my dog barks every time she hears it

I'd love to get the PS5 version of 24 next year but if they keep giving it for free on Gamepass it's hard not to go w/ the Xbox version.

What I did for 22 and 23 was buy the digital deluxe on PS5 (for the goodies) and got the gamepass version for Xbox. Then, when 22 dropped to $10 for XBX (23 hasn’t done that yet), I picked up a physical version. That way I’ll have it for XBX after it leaves gamepass. I plan to pick up the disk for 23 the same way.

I got 21 for like $9 physical copy for XBOX Series X. Only because it was one of my favoite games - not just sports or baseball games - but any game ever and I kept it as a collector's item.
I also own MLB 17 physical disc for the same reason

Nice! I have ‘08 and ‘16-‘22 physical copies. I don’t know what happened to the ones for 09-15. The kids probably have those. All of them are for PS except for 22.

I was wondering if a mechanical controller would be good for this game.
