Do walks count toward the total bases in TA 5, or does it have to be hits, I can't get a hit with David Justice to save my life

Those total bases were “lovely”. Nothing like needing 1 and taking 5 games to get it from the lead off spot. 🤬

It's better than needing 20 games to hit 5 XBH by a longshot. And I've been stuck needing 1 TB with Bogaerts for 4 or 5 games. This coming after I finally hit a HR w/ him to get to 9 after being stuck at 5 with him forever. LOL

You’ve just basically summed up my entire experience with team affinity. I’d almost swear it’s some kind of mkultra type of thing to see how long it takes me to crack. Like doing a Clemente moment where you need two hits and you hit the first two pitches that you see over the fence and the next moment you need to hit a single homer and it takes twenty tries. Over and over and over lol I keep hearing that funny farm song playing in my head while I’m trying to understand lol

I literally have no hits with David Justice

Cameron.i was 8 for 22 when I got the 10th base, doubles for the 5th and 8th hit, didn't have a replacement so I left him in and was 11 for 20 with 4 doubles a triple and 2 homers ,go figure.

This thread makes me afraid to begin TA 5. I think I'll wait and see if there is a TA 6 and if there is, do MTO to knock out half of the points needed in both programs simultaneously. At least there are only two conquest maps for TA 5.

It wasn’t bad. I had Bellinger in 5 days. It did take me 2 mini seasons though. Technically only 1 and 25 games but at that point I just finished it. Plus, the showdown and conquest.

Update, still struggling to get hits with David Justice, still need 6 more total bases, any idea how to get him done faster so I can take him out of my mini seasons lineup

Do you have a PS5 or Xbox X|S? If so, take him to the Sand Lot. You'll get your hits easy enough there. Unfortunately, the Switch doesn't have the ability to play in custom parks.
You can also try playing the Rockies at home or the Athletics at Coors Field.

Play vs CPU against the Athletics. They have the poorest pitching. Stack your rotation with 99s and put a 95 in the 5th spot and use that pitcher. They'll match you better that way. Find a park that you can hit well in. Coors is high altitude and works pretty well. There are some other parks that are good because of funky corners too, but I don't remember them off the top of my head.
