This man acting like a lot of people in RL don't get mad about losing. Everyone is a perfect saint who's only motive in posting negative things is to better the game.
Not to mention, this site, reddit, and Twitter don't represent the majority of the game, most people go about playing it without ever posting, so drawing any conclusions based on posts is folly.
The reason so many people claim about the game forcing them to lose is simple, if something is repeated enough, it gets believed. I see a post that claims the game is making that person lose, I remember times I lost, and suddenly I start thinking, wait what if it's not me? Plenty of people want that excuse.
If I tell you to look for Yellow cars, suddenly you'll start seeing yellow cars everywhere because you are aware of it. Even though the amount of Yellow cars didn't actually increase, you just weren't looking for it before.
Same principle applies here. We all know the game isn't perfect and there are flaws, but if someone is looking for the game purposingly making them lose, they will see those flaws as intentional actions, and surmise the game is making them lose.
I’m sorry but when there’s video/photo being shared of the game doing stupid stuff that benefits one opponent over the other, well you can’t sit and say players are just imagining it. It actually happened, it was captured and shared. Funny thing is this topic is brought up multiple times a year, every year. It’s not a coincidence that many players are “imagining” things.
I didn't say they were imagining flaws. Never once did I say that. And no it's not a coincidence people think the game is forcing them to lose, as I said, if something gets repeated enough it gets believed.
I'm saying the flaws are just flaws, and by their nature, they will screw one person over more then the other in any small sample size, such as in a game. Or with flaws do you think they should screw everybody equally in each individual game?
You don’t have to believe anything when you are able to record it, it’s a fact at that point that it happened. Players post bs happening in this game all year, every year.

Good players can overcome those “flaws” by giving the RNG hitting a higher number to work with. These “flaws” are determining games for the average/below average players....surely you can understand their frustration with that.
I understand their frustration, your trying to twist my words here. Yes, people record weird stuff that shouldn't happen, that's not shocking at all, THERE ARE FLAWS IN THE GAME, SO OF COURSE PEOPLE WILL HAVE PICTURES OF SUCH AN OCCURENCE.

Lol, it surely does force them to lose when these flaws are happening at the wrong time “bases loaded situation” or at the end of the game “error causing a run to score, or putting the go ahead run on base” ....the average player has a hard time getting past what these flaws put in front of them, causing them to lose. If my opponent scores 2 runs on a bs error out of my control with only 2 innings left and I’m not a very good hitter, those 2 runs put up on me by bs will more than likely cause me to lose.
If this game is going to have flaws that SDS can’t figure out how to fix...then I can’t answer your question. How are we supposed to equally share the flaws during our game when we have no idea when/where their going to happen and SDS doesn’t communicate (I wonder why) about them?
So what you are saying then, is flaws CAN'T happen at the worst time? Otherwise it HAS to be intentional game design? Wouldn't it stand to reason that flaws can happen at any time? Including the worst? Because that's an easy answer to why it happens at the worst time sometimes, because that's the nature of it, it can happen at anytime, it will sometimes happen in critical situations.
As for the example. yes that's a "flaw" if you will, sometimes bad contact gets rewarded and it isn't only at the worst times, it can happen anytime.
Why would you know when a flaw was going to happen? If we all knew when they were going to happen, it'd be a pretty easy fix wouldn't it?]
Again, because of the nature of flaws, in a single game, one person will benefit from it, that's just reality, that doesn't mean you were destined to lose. It wasn't an intentional game design

I was playing a guy in RS a couple days ago. 14th inning, 0-0, One of those games where the pitching is just unhittable (perhaps that's by design and someone has a theory about that as well). Anyway, it's a CF of epic proportions and my Willie Mays comes up to bat. I'm shell-shocked at this point in the game because no matter what I do the AI is not letting me get traction.
So, anyway, I'm down 0-2 and just punchy and frazzled. Pitch comes in and I read it wrong and tried to check my swing. I mean, honest to God, I barely bumped the "O" (control swing) and that freakin' ball goes flying out of the park like it had rockets attached to it.
My opponent quit before the announcer could finish off "just like the ex-girlfriend who ain't coming back..that ball is gone!"
Yeah, I just skilled up on that home-run in a stressful situation. I'm pretty awesome.

Bob, I'm just not sure how to answer that.
All I got is "yeah, I believe that homerun I shouldn't have hit was part of the "grand finale" by the AI to keep me coming back" . Drag a game out for much longer than it should have been and humiliate my opponent on an AI adjustment (or whatever you want to call it).
I bet he was plenty pissed and he should have been. I sure didn't feel any sort of vindication for winning the game on a bizarre check-swing. -

Just forget it. Some people are just not gonna accept the fact that a gaming company whos number priority is a mode based on microtransactions would have anything implemented to make sure they get and keep as many people playing that said mode in order to have a higher chance of making more money. Oh and guess what multiplatform coming next year which means a whole slew of new players. Yeah now way in hell would I the company not do anything i could to make sure evryone has a chance in my number 1 money making mode

I was down 6-0 in a BR game after 2 innings. Couldnt hit anything.
I then proceeded to score 5 runs in the 3rd inning, get two more men on base and walk it off with a 3 run bomb. 8-6 win.

That's right, a photo of a hit off an early swing isn't proof enough of there being a conspiracy.

I believe every year SDS chooses a random set of userId's to "relax" the AI on. Perhaps set most of their online experience to "Veteran" difficulty or whatever. Those are your consistent 800 folks. And, believe me, that would easy-cheesy for the programmers to integrate into the game. A simple coded switch.
By doing this SDS has created a "point of reference" that the fan-boys can recite to argue the game-play is based on player skill not AI. Really isn't another valid argument I've ever heard than this. Don't know how many times I've seen some one type "It has to be real or so-and-so wouldn't always be 800+". Well, my response is "you have to be gullible" to believe that's any sort of quantifiable metric. Marketing...pure and simple.
Have you taken time to actually watch some of these "chosen" guys play? Their PCI placement is robot-like. So, baseball being baseball, the law of averages ends up in their favor due to many more well-placed swings than the average user.
There is no behind the scenes shenanigans going on. We are all playing the same game, good or bad.
When I started playing DD in 2017, I sucked. Bad. But I grinded and grinded and improved my gameplay until I made World Series division near the end of the year and then continued to consistently make it in 2018 and 2019. I was not "chosen", I earned it. And that's the problem many of you have, you're not willing to do what it takes to actually get better and just admit that, at best, you're average at this game. Not saying that you couldn't be better, but as long as you think the game has it out for you you'll just constantly be mediocre at best.
