How do you change your defense pregame?

I have the issue of players getting cheap oppo hits off me because of extreme shift.
I looked in the game play settings and I couldn't find anything that removes the shift .

I wouldn't do it pregame. I would do it in game. Some players will load up with players who get extreme shifts (Crawford and Joc from the Giants come to mind) and what I would do is pause game and set up whatever defense and set to either the player or the lineup and save as "Always". This also is useful for people who load up with bunters like Strange-Gordan and Lou Brock as it nullifies their strategy. I've had players quit as soon as I move in 2nd and 3rd basemen. and

I know you can turn off shifts in the settings but I am not sure if applies to online and not just offline. Never looked into it.

Thanks man , but I would rather do it pregame because in game I forget .
I would rather add a shift in game if I so desired.
