Meh, cycles are way overrated. Much better to get 2 HR and 2 doubles. Or 3 HR. Or 5 hits. Elly's was different because he was brand new to MLB. I wouldnt mind him getting one, obviously, but I doubt they would do it.

That is true about the Elly Cycle card, and what a card it is! At 600K right now.
I'm a fan of Altuve and his cards, so that's why I want one. -

I'm a fan of Altuve and his cards, so that's why I want one.And again worth every stub, home runs and extra bases like crazy and who cares if it's just a base hit that he gets because with that speed he's on 3rd by the time the next batter has seen 2 pitches, i love that card sooo much.
I have to mention the new McCutchen card as well, 2 games in, 11 AB, 9 hits, 6 HRs, and a double. Sure this is again the CPU on veteran but this is the most fun i've ever had with a McCutchen card.

No disrespect to Altuve (at this current moment anyway) but Gunnar Henderson proved the underlying stupidity of the cycle as a stat set. He hustled out a double for his last hit and gets no historical footnote for his achievement whatsoever. If he'd stopped and taken the single he'd have been handed this extra achievement (and we might have another nice card in the game). It's not the greatest baseball achievement/stat set ever conceived given that he did something better and proved his mindset, and we just have to shrug and admit that 'less than' would have somehow been 'greater than' and that just doesn't make sense.
Elly's cycle sits as pretty satisfying as he needed the triple last, as well as being a new arrival, but honestly I'm less impressed by a cycle than I would be by multi-homer games, or frankly, what Gunnar Henderson did given the pressure he would have been under to just stop at first base.
