Perfect/perfect hitting bug in Franchise??
-
I’ve played mlb the show since it first came out so I’m no stranger to the game. I’ll try to keep it short…I only play franchise, I have played an entire season, all 9 innings, 162 games and got ZERO perfect/perfect swings. In MLB 22 The Show I would get at least one perfect/perfect a game, sometimes several. I have seen SO many swings where my reticle is perfectly on the ball and my timing is perfect, 110+mph exit velocity, yet it always says my timing was “good”. I never get that perfect/perfect “crack” of the bat sound and I refuse to believe that of the thousands of pitches I have swung at, not ONE has been a perfect/perfect! It doesn’t make any sense! All I can think of is there is some kind of bug/glitch with franchise hitting that literally doesn’t allow/recognize a perfect/perfect swing. Is there ANYONE out there who’s experienced the same thing?? Also I never play below AllStar hitting difficulty. Help please.

I've never experienced this but then again apart from about 15 exhibition games played when I get the game every year I turn off the swing feedback as I don't need a tool telling me what my swing results are as I can tell by my own timing/feel and sound of the bat. But this is very strange and I can only lap it up as this dude's controller dead zone is off, I don't think he's mentioned if he's tried another controller. Perfect/Perfects are rare when you're playing on Legend with maxed out pitch speeds but with the 15 or so exhibition games I played with pre Slider settings I was averaging about 3 to 5 a game. Even if you're swinging erratically like a DD player, based on the law of averages you'd eventually get a perfect/perfect. Tonight in my Franchise game I'll turn the feedback window on and see how many perfect/perfects I get and I'll report back.

I haven’t tried a different controller, though the controller I have is the same one I used in MLB 22 and I had perfect/perfect swings then. But I’ll swap controllers and see if that changes anything. I also don’t play on legend hitting with maxed everything. I’ll play dynamic or just straight AllStar hitting difficulty. Again, I do square the ball up sometimes getting 110mph with my reticle shown being directly on the ball, but of all the clips of videos I’ve seen of guys getting perfect swings, I never get that “crack” of the bat. It’s always “good” timing, or at least that’s what the game says it is. Looking forward to seeing if you get perfect swings in your franchise game. Thanks.

So I can confirm that yes you can get Perfect/Perfect in Franchise. I didn't have the feedback window on when I was playing my actual Blue Jays Franchise game but since I have 30 team control I played a random game with O's and A's and just kept switching team batting control so I'm always batting for both teams for test purposes. So I got 1 Perfect/Perfect and it took till the 8th inning, it was an out right to the SS at an exit velo of 115 mph. This test was on Legend with maxed pitch speeds and Sliders I've been working on for about 60 hours. I might of gotten another Perfect/Perfect but I wasn't exactly playing at full concentration cause it wasn't with my Jays and it was at 3 in the morning. So my theory is Perfect/Perfect on Legend is rare, my guess is you might get 2 or 3 max per game cause the timing window is so small on Legend. Kinda reminds me of the tempo window with 2KPGA23 where if you play in Legend to get Perfect tempo it'd take you like 36 holes before you see one. But since you're playing on All-Star I'd guess the timing window is much smaller than Legend so how you can't get Perfect/Perfect once in a while is beyond me.

I’m late to reply but I got myself in trouble for insulting someone. I should just insult the game instead of people. You can get it but it’s so impossible to get now it’s like a unicorn. I use to play on Dynamic but had to limit myself to All Star in order to continue playing or I would have quit weeks ago. I also restarted my franchise and in 118 games I probably have gotten a dozen hits of 115+ MPH which in today’s game isn’t realistic. I would have to dumb it down to casual to get more realistic results and I would probably win 90% of my games if I did that.
