Any solution to the ps5 laggy pinpoint/pci
-
Every night I have issues with the pci or the pinpoint interface lagging. It's like an annoying stutter.
Any solution? Or is this yet another disadvantage of playing a Sony game on a Sony console?
-
This might sound weird, but we have dogs in the house and I sometimes find their hair stuck between the analog stick and the housing of the controller. It causes a stutter or a sudden shift in input. Perhaps check if they are both clean and there is nothing stuck in between, if you haven't already?

Haha not weird at all. We have a German shepherd and a mastif... I'll be shocked if there isn't hair in there

Have you calibrated the joystick recently?

I have encountered the same issue. Sometimes a pause of 10-20 seconds will fix it. Sometimes it doesn't.

I have this exact issue...with my blue controller. My white one works fine.

On PS5 menu screen go down to your controller icon and the option is to check for updates. Hasn't been an update in a long while though. Problem is that PS5 controllers aren't very durable. I think I am on six or seven since I got PS5 around launch.

Oh thank you! I agree with you wholeheartedly I don’t have a right analog stick remaining without its rubber covering shredded…and I rotate my four controllers with a regularity that could only be described as somewhat creepy….AND I don’t even play that often! Will the joystick calibration screen be where the update usually is? Again I thank you. I’ve not had many troubles but I’m all about calibrating something lol

Yes that is where it should be. I use kontrol freeks. If you are wearing out the actual sticks I would suggest getting some.

I pickup a new controller every 3 months or so with the GameStop warranties. Usually it’s my PCI that I notice issues with first.

Hmmm. You bring up a glaring disadvantage to my “no pci” play style. Still I can occasionally flip it on to make sure it’s not dancing around all on its own…but I’ll have to be careful because if I should happen to enable it while the pci is all shrunken into miniature it’ll take me a week to get it out of my head again lol

I’ve never heard of this but I’m about to look it up. Thanks again

I go no PCI when I’m in a slump. I find it helps me to focus on the release point more. If the small PCI bothers you, enable outer PCI only. I always do that on HOF or higher.

It's insane, I'm on my 4th controller in a little over 2 years. Meanwhile my SNES controller from 1995 works just fine still lol
