Why do I not have Tatis Jr. On my game yet. I want to play a season with the Padres, but not without Tatis.

Offline I wouldn’t think this should be a problem so long as you load him onto your roster prior to creating (or immediately after I just can’t recall) your season. I know it was possible last year to put all kinds of downloaded players on the rosters and even switch around a lot of the talent prior to starting your season but after it was underway, then you get stuck with whatever it was to start…only remedy that I found was to start new season in that case.

ps hey best of luck seriously I hope there’s a solution out there to your problem

I’ll explain how to start your new franchise with the most current roster. Follow these steps and you should be good.

    1. Go to settings and click on file management
    2. Click load rosters and select rosters
    3. Choose live rosters and it’ll say “live rosters have loaded successfully” and click ok
    4. Select start new franchise and chose use current roster

That should have your new franchise with the last updated roster.

I wish everyone was more positive and less negative and full of complaints. For example, severs when we know how few people play online or nicknames on cards (I didn’t like them but I zipped it), or mosquitos in the outfield (once again just a few moments so deal with it) and petty things like insulting other people for their internet connection, everyone can’t afford what I pay so once again I zip it.

As for the OP, I suggest he wait until Friday for the fielding and speed roster update. Tatis having moved to the outfield might have a change that could make the wait worthwhile.

I second this motion brother. If people interacted fave to face this problem wouldn’t exist on such a discouraging scale. The screen insulates the offending party but the effect on their target is not at all virtual, but very real. I agree with you that the pettiness has no place here. I feel like that since this board is the games namesake board that it should have a more positive tone than places like Reddit and twitter and we should strive to do better. I received a lot of encouragement from your post and I will personally do my part to try and help to make this a place where those seeking assistance can come and get their questions answered in a positive manner

Lots of keyboard warriors out there. My motto is treat someone like I wish they’d treat me. I have been a smart a$$ with a couple people when they’ve gotten on my last nerve. Like skippractice and bestpal4.

I’ve been with this game since it’s birth. I remember when the franchise mode was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I don’t whine about it although I could. They work around the more popular mode within the space provided on a video game disc. If it was all digital it might be different but I don’t demand people ditch discs either and go digital like me. This game has grown a lot since 2006. At one point everyone had the exact same body on homerun trots, it was hilarious, but it was how it was at the time, and even though they were an exclusive game they ousted MLB2K out of the baseball game.

I played a game yesterday and, matter of fact, it was your boy the chicken man playing third and had a seed hit right by him and he makes the diving play (not an outrageous dive, looked just like the type of athletic play most mlb players could make) and, sitting on his bottom, makes the throw and beats the guy by a step…he was their catcher. It was such a beautiful and seamless looking play - it was like artwork to me!
Another thing, I had a perfect game going and my center fielder makes a saving play to extend it…right after the camera flashes to the pitcher who is giving the “atta-boy” nod to his teammate - JUST like in the real game! I totally appreciate what they’ve managed to bring us and can only begin to imagine the level of pride / ownership that those such as yourself have - that have made it through the long haul. There are several of y’all on here and it’s no coincidence that this is also the ones who have the greatest and best ‘on screen personas’ for lack of a better term

In the early days the players looked like Michael Myers mask with zero emotions so when someone says the games looks the same now as in 2008 I spit up my drink and roll my eyes so hard I could pass out.
