3 wild cards is the best way to move forward imo
-
I think 3 wild cards is a great compromise between what SDS wants with sets and what most of the community wants (from what I can tell) with the ammount of effort/time/dollars spent playing the game so far.
Logistically speaking, just about everyone knows that the only players left playing this game consistently after set 2 is unusable online are the diehards/streamers and numbers will drop in players pretty quickly as new games are out and interest and time will be spent elsewhere.
Really enjoying this game overall in terms of gameplay besides a few minor complaints but don’t see my self grinding programs at all after set 2 is worthless.
So I’m conclusion, 3 wild cards I think is a great compromise and a chance to keep more casuals
And people without the time to grind for a competitive team can stick around and still have some fun. What do y’all think?
-
Other players loosing interest is the least of my concerns, I am enjoying the game as presented and look forward to the challenges that lie before me .
-
Being a 99% offline player, I agree. I still have about 7 Set 1 players I don't want to stop using.
-
I think one pitcher and one position player would be nice.
-
My Main Squad is all Core, Set Two and Chipper who will be my Wild Card, so I'm excited for the POTM program, All Star Program, and TA 3 to see who will replace my Set Two cards. Chipper, Jeter and Sosa are going nowhere
-
Just add an extra wild card slot each set. I also like the thought of one pitcher and one position player from tossgawd
-
I know they’re interchangeable, but I love using Chipper and WBC Trout together. They’re the only 2 Set 1 batters I have left!
-
If it was 3 Wild Cards you’d cry about it and want 4.

Pitcher slot? Randy all year… no thanks

I think one wild card is good ause it makes you make a choice.
July 7 will mark one of the biggest roster shifts for online play that has ever happened. No more Gibson every other game which is something people always complain about is seeing a meta pitcher all year (see Kershaw 19, Kluber 20).
Now I am making this view as someone who loves to plug and play many many cards so I never have a set God squad but I think the idea of having to rebuild your whole squad over again is exciting
-
You should get 2 if you use a non pitching captain, 1 captain and 1 other

Of course you do. You might as well work for SDS. I’ve never heard a single criticism about anything they do from you.
-
I was thinking more along the lines of 1 WC from each set.
-
People that spent all that time and money. Getting screwed. It’s just the way it is. The little guy getting f’d by the big guy. It’s the way the world works in every facet

Maybe I don't have any, I don't view the issues people have with this game in the same light
I think many of the changes have been positive and enjoy this game alot. Again I don't get this idea that because I like something others don't that means I should work for them.
I also don't understand why everyone on here gets to dump on the game and that's OK but if someone comes in with a POV that's positive then it's a fake SDS account.
Like the game or don't like the game that's cool but I'm going to get my feedback on topics in here hence why it's called an open forum

There’s nothing wrong with being positive but when you defend every decision and change they make, it makes you sound like an employee. I don’t even speak that way about my job so maybe employee isn’t the right word.
What’s one thing SDS has changed or done that you’ve been critical of?

I haven't been critical of anything likely but I have given feedback on what I think could make the game better
For example
Events - the restrictions need to be more to ensure that the mode isn't RS with 3 innings and the best cards are always eligible
Conquest - there needs to be a USA map refresh or some other big conquest map that takes time to finish
-
I think once a card reach parallel V , should be ineligible to use in some modes, and added on a later season like a all greatest card.

No they didn’t. It was put out well in advance how things worked in the game. Anybody who didn’t know this wasn’t paying attention.

We should get 2 batter Wild Cards and 2 Pitching Wild Cards
- 1 OF Primary Wild Card
- 1 IF/DH Primary Wild Card
- 1 Starting Pitcher Wild Card
- 1 Relief Pitcher/Closer Wild Card
