One thing for sure, it won't be as good as next season"s FS Francisco Alvarez card

It very well might not be but I’ll say this (and I’m a lifetime Mets fan who adores our new catcher) - it darn well sure should be exponentially better than Alvarez (heck or anyone really). Big Josh Gibson hit somewhere north of 800 home runs during his playing days (some have the number closer to 1000) and it also credited with what appears to be a legit home run of 600 feet…how fun would it be to take some swings with THAT kinda power?

I am just hoping SDS doesn't nerf him since MLB only officially credits him with 166 home runs

You and me both brother. You know with all the work they put into the NL program already you’d think that historian fella at the museum should be able to get the point across to them. We hope anyhow right haha

He should have 125 power on both but several players have that now so we’ve already taken swings with that kind of power.

Haha yes partner we’ve all taken video game swings with that, even little ol me. A 2000 foot home run in a video game is only a matter of programming the ability to do so and waiting for someone to come along and press a button.
That’s amusement I’ll agree but what would be fun, truly fun, would be to walk up to the plate in the heat of the day, gripping that bat in a couple of canned ham sized hands which contains the power coursing through them to twist someone’s head right off their body. Taking all of that musculature and bringing it in concert with incredible timing, eyesight, and body mechanics to crush a baseball 600 feet.
This is what I speak of when I say wouldn’t it be fun to have THAT kind of power. There are only a few men in history who have taken those type of swings.

    Dang right it’d be fizzun

My Negro League season 2 wish list has 2 names on it. Josh Gibson, who you have mentioned and Oscar Charleston.

I think that would be incredible to have Charleston and you know that historian will have done awesome stories about him! I’d be thrilled to see Cool Papa Bell too but they might have to go past the 125 rating in speed for him haha. That’s three solid ones right there that most people would love to have in their lineup. Kudos on O.C. great pick

I was hoping for Charleston and Donaldson this game and got 1 so now I would love the other. Just don’t think the pre-Negro League game players get as much love. I was very shocked Gibson and Cool Papa weren’t included in the game this year.
