Moonshot 2 Event

Every pitch I throw in the zone goes yard. Any suggestions?

Throw it out of the zone? Honestly, there isn't much you can do. Try to be as unpredictable as possible with pitch speed and location, and hit more out than the other guy.

Off speed. Move it around. Most people sit myself include on sinkers or fastballs.

I’ve been throwing more cure balls inside and that’s been alright but once they catch on. Ugh!

Then you got them. Put them in a blender

I just hate these events. I have played 5 games and I am 4-1, but I just find these to be no fun. Especially in this stadium where a pop up goes out. Sometimes you just need luck and hope your pitcher doesn't throw it down the middle even though you are perfect on release on the edge or outside the zone.
-
It's odd how you see the same pitchers game to game and every time you face them, the ball comes in differently to point where your bat literally goes through the ball. One game you can follow the ball from the pitcher's hand no problem, next game your PCI doesn't move and the ball seems to disappear rather than break.

I wanna know how folks are going 12-0

Don’t play it

So you’re playing an event called moonshot and don’t like the ease of Home Runs? Don’t play it then lol.

I was 6-1 down into the top of the 3rd. Realised I was trying to swing at every pitch. Went 10-6 up.
You ain’t gonna outpitch them. Just be patient and outhit them.

Finally got my 5th win lol. Had multiple games up 5 or 6 then get crushed. It's a lot of luck and some skill. Soto is a definite needed to win.

Miserable way to get an Ian Happ card but it’s done at least. This event was fun years ago but it’s been rode WAY too many times. Time to be original…..

No real success plan but I've been using pitchers with a 95 or up fastball, a slider, and changeup. I mix fastball up and in, slider low that breaks off the plate, and change ups in the dirt. If you succeed you'll get a lot of pop ups, fouls, or whiffs....but when you miss forget it. The entire event is based on who misses more

I will say that events, as well as Battle Royale and RS seem to be more of a game of who's pitches will go nowhere near where aimed despite good to perfect Meyer. So outside of playing a really skilled person or a really terrible person, most games seem like roulette. I don't play nearly as much online anymore because of that and the fact that patience and timing are rarely rewarded.
