Early each year i rewatch the LOTR trillogy at a theatre here in Vancouver, always such a great time and something i look forward to each year.

Bless you. The more I learn about you, the more I like! Tolkien is the only subject I enjoy talking about as much as baseball. I’ve seriously gotta make me some chicken wings to go with the rest of these tomatoes

Hey @samguenther1987 I just this morning finished reading “Unfinished Tales” and gotta say I loved it. Especially the Third Age stuff it goes into the Quest for Erebor, and it goes into great detail about the battle in which Theodred is mortally wounded….but the best part is the chapter on the Wizards and other on the different Palantir seeing stones and the lore behind them. It has some wonderful morsels hidden in it and I bet you’d love it - in the off chance that you’ve not already read it I should say.
