Negro League Players and CORE Cards

By far my personal favorite addition to the game this season was the Negro League players.
What I dont understand, is as great as it is now having them , why SDS basically rendered them irrelevant after the first week or two after release.
Why not add to the existing programs that allow player to grind there way towards better versions of these cards that can actually be useable?
Also, you cant even use any of these cards in most of the mini seasons except the classic, which no one likely even plays. Why not allow any CORE cards like the Negro league players to be used in any mode any time?
Lastly, I think Lightning Players and the BIG Collection cards should be Core. Any of these HUGE grinds or collections should be CORE in my opinion, Make it worth more to grind out these cards by letting us use just one of them as a wild card, and if you are going to leave this be, at least consider (1) Wild Card for each season.
Sorry for rambling, but filling out that survey got my mind going.....curious what others think.

I’ve been very disappointed with how few of core cards they release. I think all Team Affinity cards should be core. I don’t think 99s will be core outside of the LS collection because they’re basically trying to prevent people from never having to replace a position again all year.

They can’t really upgrade them, because the main idea was to have you play the storylines to learn about the players. Dropping a 99 of them into the game means most people won’t play them (I know a lot of us have), so they’d have to come up with an upgrade system in which you had to play storylines, collect all the cards and maybe do more moments to get them. So my guess is a program of some sorts will come later, and the cards will be core.

Evolution program for each player would be amazing, just like the one we had in 2020 for Jackie Robinson.

Yes, this for sure. Just add onto the existing programs for each player, add some missions more more moments with the original players and such, add a new Buck O'Neal and Maybe a Satchel Captain as well.
