Is there a way to change you CAP position??

In DD I have my CAP as my catcher but he sucks at blocking pitches and throwing base stealers out cause of his low accuracy. I wanna get Mauer and put my CAP as my 1B without him being out of position. Is there a way I can do that? I already got him max hitting attributes which took me a while to achieve and I don’t wanna have to start over.
