Ahh got it you just were being nice lol.
My biggest problem with hitting is timing. Some games I'm early then others I'm late. Obviously lag has something to do with it. But when I fight being late I have no chance because a good pitcher figures it out and spams FBs.
I have a solid set up so not much more I can do. I go into practice on HOF and do very well.
Is what it is.
Some things I'd suggest when practicing, turn the speeds up all the way when practicing (hof offline is a lot slower then online), don't be afraid to contact swing at two strikes, sometimes I do, if you put the ball in play anything can happen just like rl.
I am susceptible to high heat, so I keep my pci high so I don't get blown by, and while that leaves me compromised for low offspeed, atleast I have more time to react to that.
Adding to this, you say you swing alot at balls. I suggest shrinking the strike zone until you get to two strikes. Cut your strike zone in four zones, pick one or two anything that doesn’t go there, dont swing, wait for a pitch where you want it and don’t miss.
Also take note of your opponent’s tendencies and capitalize on them
After a turn through my lineup, I always look at my opponents pitching feedback. How he pitches to righties/lefties, where he locates certain pitches

How reliable are these stats? I presume they’re the ones you find on the profile through this forum. I know the stats on the game itself are usually skewed likd I’ve played a 1000 innings? Just curious since my stats are I feel off in terms of hits being low on here and lol I’m a great pitcher but idk .56 amazing

Ahh you are looking at my overall record which combines online rated with DD. I didn't realize my ERA was 1.07 .
Have not looked at it in a while That'ss nuts. Makes me more depressed lol.I was looking at your ranked seasons record actually
Btw thanks for the professional response. It's rare online.
Hopefully I can get better at hitting. Would certainly change my record.

I know this is unsolicited advice but it helped me a lot.

When matching up "home hunt". A laggy player selection menu = laggy game.
-
Take a lot of pitches in the early innings and focus on picking up the release point of the pitch and make sure they're willing to throw you strikes.
-
Advice already given but don't be afraid to use contact swing to create long at bats and to avoid striking out.
-
If you're having a bad game with timing and can't figure out your opponent's pitching pattern, sit on one pitch and wait for it. Worst case scenario you do as bad as you already were, best case you run into a few.
For me personally, patience is key along with avoiding frustration. Either way, do what you find fun

Are you using zone hitting? I don’t know how you can hit sub .200 unless you’re using directional.
-
My opponents get held to .200 avg BUT I still have to putup runs because there is always that one inning i give up 5+
-
[censored] and my ERA is above 5.00. I sit around the 800-900 in ranked.

Yeah I struggle with hitting I swing to much and have timing issues but I can hold my own on the mound. I usually lose by 1 or two runs that come from these crazy home runs like 102 painted in the upper corner or a breaking ball down away in our of the zone.
Basically every game I hold them down but I give up a bomb that should be extremely low percentage hits.
Is what it is but it's getting old. Think I'm going back to online rated. I always do way better and playing real teams is way more fun imop.
Thats a great idea at least you can pick your difficulty instead of playing only on Allstar.

Not sure what you mean.
He means you might want to focus on hitting a little more because unfortunately for you you can’t win a game on the defensive side of the field. It’s the most obvious answer to your conundrum.

Just to clarify, I am not a great player. However, regarding your opponent's pitching tendencies, after 2-3 innings I look at the pitch break down and location. There is nearly always a tendency in location you can take advantage of.
After 2-3 more innings, I look again. I'm sure some have done this for a long time but I just started doing it and it has been very beneficial.

How do I check my stats. I know I've seen how before but can't find it.
Sorry -
