Is this lag or is it game issues?

Meter pitching. Select sinker low and inside to a righty. Get perfect release and timing of the meter. But the ball starts out low and then does a U-Turn and shoots straight up to the outside upper left hand corner. Flip it for a lefty batter.
Seriously, it's like either the third base/first base coach is using The Force to make the ball travel that way.
