Ok I know the meatriders here will say otherwise but this game is in a horrible state gameplay wise. I’m not going to get into why it’s been an unenjoyable grind and doesn’t feel great to play but we can all agree numbers don’t lie.
The last 2 versions of The Show were in the top 10 on Xbox live through August. As of today 23 is sitting at 35th. People are not enjoying this experience SDS has provided this year and tbh I don’t think they know how to fix the game.
Now just to put things into perspective Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Division 2, Tomb Raider, Black ops 1 thru 4, 4 Assassins Creed games, Gotham knights, etc are all doing better then this game on Xbox Live. Nobody is playing this mess.

The game was amazing before the first patch. Yes pinpoint isn’t perfect but it made the game more enjoyable, plus scoring was like actual baseball , not the homerun derby it has once again became.

I mean the no gameplay update is going to be the end of this game. It’s already failed and I said earlier on if they don’t fix things casuals will leave. Going by the numbers they’ve already left there’s no redemption for this year’s game because it looks like SDS is refusing to do anything for the players. If they think this won’t affect next years sales I think they are living on another planet. The really ruined a lot of good faith they had this year.

Most casuals probably don’t get too deep into that stuff but unrewarding gameplay will drive them away en masse.

I said it in another post but they are catering to the 1% that make WS and go 12-0 in BR consistently. They hide it by saying they never meant for people to grind out ranked and BR to sell the rewards. I think that’s some made up BS. When you stop thinking about the vast majority of your market, people lose interest in your product. Streamers will always buy the game and buy stubs for pack opening content. Casuals will stop playing all together. I personally unsubscribed to every streamer that plays this game. I’m not helping anyone make more money on this game until they fix this mess.

you mean the people that are good at the game that spent time perfecting thier skill to get better to make the game more enjoyable rather then complain because its to hard. Don't get mad at those people, just like anything in life if you want succeed you have to practice, there is casual options in this game, just because you might not enjot it, the comp community is loving it this year game play wise. Its far and away supreme over the last two installments.

Personally, I like the game this year and think it's by far the best version since 17. Hitting is certainly not perfect but much improved over the past few years and for the most part at least in a 9-inning game the better player is going to win. The sad thing about this post is that it's the same post that's on the forum every year. Someone will post this is the worst version ever. Someone else will chime in that the game was perfect before whatever patch we are on and then others will jump in that it's the worst sports game ever. Haven't read enough of the responses to see if there is the inevitable just wait until ea brings back MVP baseball and then sds will be out of business but usually falls somewhere in this thread too.

exactly mate and well said - i hardly play these days but long time veteran of this game - i only play online when i make time for gaming these days - last year i was 36-1 in RS, this year i am 9-2 in RS so far and play events for cards / stubs etc. its better than 18-22 years no question - 2016 and 2017 were up there too for me too as some of the best years

I went flawless yesterday for the first time ever in my life playing this game, i put up a 15 spot in the top of the 4th to win 17-2 in extras. I am by no means a top player in this game or the "1%" , the feeling of achieving something I thought I'd never do is more than worth the price of this game. And i wish more of the "casual players" would stop using that as a crutch or an excuse to why the game isn't fair, WS and BR rewards use to never be obtainable without making WS or 12-0. now we have programs for both that gives you progress for just playing the game. Those rewards being no sell should be no sell, it defeats the value and purpose of reaching 900 or going flawless.

and you are right - i have been saying for YEARS on this forum that some rewards should be almost impossible to get - this rarity is a NICE thing which is prevalent in tons of other big games today
remember BR flawless reward Luis Tiant ? i LOVED that card and anything from 2017 flawless runs were super rare cards very desirable - and NOBODY complained then

and you are right - i have been saying for YEARS on this forum that some rewards should be almost impossible to get - this rarity is a NICE thing which is prevalent in tons of other big games today
remember BR flawless reward Luis Tiant ? i LOVED that card and anything from 2017 flawless runs were super rare cards very desirable - and NOBODY complained then
Or flawless Harper from 17!! Those cards should be the absolute best cards in the game that nobody wants to sell.

Ok I know the meatriders here will say otherwise but this game is in a horrible state gameplay wise. I’m not going to get into why it’s been an unenjoyable grind and doesn’t feel great to play but we can all agree numbers don’t lie.
The last 2 versions of The Show were in the top 10 on Xbox live through August. As of today 23 is sitting at 35th. People are not enjoying this experience SDS has provided this year and tbh I don’t think they know how to fix the game.
Now just to put things into perspective Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Division 2, Tomb Raider, Black ops 1 thru 4, 4 Assassins Creed games, Gotham knights, etc are all doing better then this game on Xbox Live. Nobody is playing this mess.
It’s absolutely horrible but the no life grinders and $$ spenders will flock to posts like this to validate their actions. It’s the worst competitive sports game ever made.
you mean the people that are good at the game that spent time perfecting thier skill to get better to make the game more enjoyable rather then complain because its to hard. Don't get mad at those people, just like anything in life if you want succeed you have to practice, there is casual options in this game, just because you might not enjot it, the comp community is loving it this year game play wise. Its far and away supreme over the last two installments.
exactly mate and well said - i hardly play these days but long time veteran of this game - i only play online when i make time for gaming these days - last year i was 36-1 in RS, this year i am 9-2 in RS so far and play events for cards / stubs etc. its better than 18-22 years no question - 2016 and 2017 were up there too for me too as some of the best years
