How does Miles Mikolas get an Incognito card that’s not The Lizard King?
Swing and a miss, SDSMore like strike out, dj lemahieu Incognito is big Fundy, instead of Le Machine? SDS does not play attention to MLB. What's next, call Aaron Judge "Side Eyes"
Again, like someone else said before, many of these nicknames came from the annual (2017-2019) "Players' Weekend" uniform names chosen by the player themselves. Big Fundy was chosen LeMahieu.

most of these "nicknames" are pretty bad Youk instead of greek god of walks? I imagine most of these guys were never called these nicknames in their life
Literally was called "Youk" his entire career by fans, players, and coaches. I get your point, but that was a horrible example... lol

Didnt know that, knew him more as Le Machine. Sounded cooler too.

I feel like half the “nicknames” are “insert name” Two Bags! Haha

Greek God of walks was what Pete called him in Moneyball…But his real nickname is Youk.
Just trivia here, but that was adapted for the movie... that name was actually coined by Billy Beane, who called him "Euclis: The Greek God of Walks" when he was a minor league player. Michael Lewis just wrote it down.

Oh that’s cool, I didn’t know that. One of my favorite movies!

Man, it is such a great movie, but I just can’t get over the fact that they neglect to mention MVP Tejada, Eric Chavez, Barry Zito, Tim Hudson and Mark Mulder. They play up the underdog story a little too much and make it out like Scott Hatteberg led a bunch of scrubs to a historic season.

You’re right, They did leave the amazing pitching staff & the other good players out but I think they wanted to make sure the focus was on the analytics instead of it just being a footnote in a typical sports movie.

At least they didn't do stadiums.
Oakland is the Roach Motel, right? -
I think they just pick stuff out of a hat. Brandon Belt was called 'The Captain' because he showed up the first day driving a boat and wearing a Captain's hat.
Imagine if he was wearing a wig.
