The other guy hitting finds every gap on the field while never do?

Played this guy and he/she was hitting every gap. Was crazy. I held it to 5 runs but I think it was like 15 hits or something.

Maybe it was directional hitting. I could not go FB up in the zone with this person or it was a guarantee hit. Had to go offspeed down and away or anything but up and FB.

Thats a good PCI placing player. If you dont know how to pitch you will get lit up.

Wait. You're telling us your opponent could hit a fastball up in the zone? I think you're right. They must have been using directional. There is no way anyone could have predicted that strategy and kept their PCI high.

Some games just go that way man. Happens to everyone. Just get up, Dust yourself off & jump into another game is my advice.

I get that problem all the time. But that does not mean automatically that the other player is using directional hitting. I use PCI hitting and I had a game where I got 10 hits but hit into a lot of double plays and ended up in a long, extra inning game where I got lucky on a home run.

Meanwhile the other guy had just 3 hits, but managed to catch every break on borderline pitches, but I also chased a few for easy outs, and the double plays FELT like the game was gifting the other guy, but looking back I am not so sure.

Sometimes guys have hitting styles that just match up well with certain pitchers used against them, and other games where it's the other way around.

It sounds to me like he's anchoring his PCI on the top row. I do this to help me stay on top of the low pitches instead of over pursuing the dip and popping out. Probably just a personal preference opinion but it feels much easier to track the ball when you don't have to worry about flicking up at pitches. Definitely not a top tier player but I'm hitting a hell of a lot better now than I was in previous years with the free anchor

Confidence meter is key this year…after a few hits it’s going to be a long game. Try a mound visit to regain some confidence or cross your fingers and hope you get a few ground outs.
