The upgrade to PS5….

Looks like I’m finally making the plunge. Quick question, I know that all of my DD progress will transfer over because it’s on their server…but if I bought the deluxe edition of ‘23 on a PS4, am I going to have to repurchase it on a PS5??? Or will i just be able to download it on the new system once I log into my ps network account??
Can’t seem to find a straight answer online, any help is appreciated

If you bought the big edition pretty sure it comes with ps4 and ps5 versions do it should just be a download.

Digital deluxe contains both version. I have it downloaded on both my PS4 and PS5.

You will just be able to download it and start were you left off on the PS4. Might take awhile to download because the game is so big though, i suggest using sleep mode if it says it's going to take about 11 hours. Best of luck and enjoy the PS5 it's a huge improvement.

If you purchased the disc version you just have to insert the PS4 disc into your PS5 and you should have a code on the "insert" of the game... if you got the digital version I'm not sure how that works. I got the disc on PS4 last year that came with the PS5 upgrade so if you have the disc version you will be good to go... I want to say if you have the digital version like I have this year then the PS5 version should be downloadable when you go to your Game Library under "Purchased", or if you go into PS Store and go to MLB The Show 23 you should see an option to "Select Version" which will bring up PS4 and PS5 then once you click on PS5 you should get option to "Download".

Long downloads might have been cause a lot were doing at same time, I recently rage deleted the game twice ( F U charisma showdown) and download only took about 10 mins on PS5.

This is a good point, i had Ragnarok downloading at the same time so it's very possible.
