Happened again

I was ahead 3-1 against my opponent in the 5th and paused the screen to let the dog out. 45 seconds later I come back to a screen showing that I lost.
First time this season I've been victimized by it. But it's happened several times over past seasons.
I dunno how they do it, but it takes a lot of nerve to cheat in a game that is pretty meaningless and arbitrary anyway. I mean, why start a game in the first place if you plan on cheating to win the first chance you get. No money on the line, no tangible prizes, hot nsatch opening up to the winner, not even an attaboy. Just cheating to be a dbag.
Don't understand the motive, but whatever rocks the boat.

The pause timer doesn't expire after 46 seconds. Seems like you may be leaving some information out of your tale.

Nope, I said 45 seconds because that was my only pause of the game.
This is the classic "glitch" where somehow/someway when an opponent pauses..if you also pause, stand on your head, pick your nose and eat it, throw salt behind your back, disconnect your wifi for 2 seconds and plug it back in, whatever, etc. you can effectively make the server think your opponent disconnected. I really don't care to know the exact details (I'll never do it) I just think it's a no-gainer and not worth looking like a frickin cheat over.
It's been a thing for years.

What is with you guys and tin foil hats. Are you seven and heard this term from your folks and decided to start using it repetitiously?
I don't know what context you actually believe the term fits when talking about a manufactured video game created by programmers.
But if you are seven, this will likely go completely over your head.
Labeling something a conspiracy theory does not reduce belief in it.With that said, using the term conspiracy theory in regards to a make believe game that's marketed and coded to engage players regardless of the level of manipulation that must be weaved into it is not "really" appropriate usage.
Now, if I was out here preaching we never really landed on the moon, or the Holocaust never really happened, or Tupac and Princess Di are both still alive sipping boat-drinks and swapping bodily fluids on a private island in the South of France..then you could use the term appropriately.

Hmm, been playing online since 16 and seen many "glitches" over the years but never encountered this glitch you speak of.
