CPU Pitch Counts
-
I was playing a RTTS game, in the top of the first inning. As the lead off batter, I got a hit on a 2-0 count. The next two batters both had 1-2 counts on them. Then, the 4 spot came up and it said the opposing pitcher had only thrown 5 pitches, which was impossible. Hoping this doesn’t have an effect on the opposing pitcher’s energy/confidence.

This has been a thing for awhile now in RTTS MLB games. I don't know how it effects the pitcher energy or confidence but it is literally a flaw of simulation. If you watch the games and don't simulate, the pitch counts are much more realistic. I believe it's because the pitcher isn't actually throwing the pitch during the simulation of gameplay.

You can check on / monitor the opposing pitcher's energy when you call up the "guess what pitch is he going to throw" interface.
And from what I've seen, the pitch count is usually "accurate" to energy, ie, at about 50 pitches thrown, his bar is in the half-way mark.Though I'd say it's not the simulated pitches, just came up in the top of the first w/2 outs and 9 pitches thrown. Got on with pitch 10. However, the subsequent 3-2 and 0-2 counts (from "fast counts") didn't "register", he had only "thrown" 12 pitches by the end of the inning...
Forgot to check for my 2nd AB, but by the thrid their starter was at 60 pitches thrown -
Pitch count and batters count are glitchy for NPCs. On a 1-0 count to the batter after me, while on first, manager gives me the sign to steal 2nd. I do, get to 2nd without a throw because the catcher mishandled Ball 2 in the dirt. Fade to the start of the next Pitch to the same batter, but now the count is pitcher's count of 0-2 instead of the 2-0 hitters count it should have been. 0 outs, as I was the first AB for the inning.
