At the lineup screen go up & down your lineup. If it’s not smooth then back out & search again until you get a matchup where it’s smooth. This is really the only way to make sure you don’t have a laggy game. Some people say turning off crossplay helps but personally I don’t think that matters.

you are absolutely right that has been the BEST tester since 2017

It absolutely does matter, there is a lot more going on in the background with respect to your connection when you are matched up with someone who is on another platform.

This is called home hunting, not going into it any further as we don’t need everybody on the game doing it. It’s being abused too much as it is.

I do this and quite frequently get matched up with people where I thought for sure I would be the home team only for it not to be. It's not always fool proof that you will be the home team. And I don't "home hunt". I call it "lag free hunting" lol

I do this and quite frequently get matched up with people where I thought for sure I would be the home team only for it not to be. It's not always fool proof that you will be the home team. And I don't "home hunt". I call it "lag free hunting" lol
yeah i am the same - i call it lag free hunting too - i still play plenty of road games at horrible stadiums - that much i know !!!! i prefer a handful select like Baltimore, Seattle, Toronto, Washington is nice too

Thanks for the help I will turn off crossplay and try that. I might also “ home hunt” if it doesn’t work.

I think in past versions of the game it did guarantee you were the home team but certainly doesn’t now. I always do this trick before every game & play just as many if not more road games - Fact checkers feel free to look at my game history to verify this. I’ve also had no problem playing playstation people without lag as long as I do this trick before hand.

Turning off cp definitely helps . I find my timing is way better. With it on I'm all over the place.
