Can't steal third online

All of a sudden I can't steal third base online.

Any other time, including last year, if I wanted to steal third when on second, all I I had to do was hit the Left Trigger and Press the Left Bumper to take a lead. Then when the pitcher would throw the ball; it would trigger a steal.

Now all that happens is that my guy just runs back to second. He still takes the lead; but doesn't try to steal the base.

This ONLY happens online. Against the CPU; it still works.

And it ONLY happens when trying to steal third from second.

If I do the same thing, trying to steal second from first, it always triggers the steal.

Lag? Opponent Quick Pitching? Shoddy programming?
