What I love about this game.

First off; this isn't a complaint post. What I'm going to post is just funny and kind of ironic.
While doing the BR program last program; I unlocked a handful of TA Henchmen and Captain's packs.
One of the packs I unlocked was the NL East.
Since the only two I needed were Alcantara and Alonso; I picked Alonso because I figured I could get his three homeruns done before I could get 9 IP with Alcantara.Well, so far I have had 20 ABs with Alonso and I have 0 homeruns. I don't even have any XBHs. All singles or outs. And he's batting .316
Now here is the funny/ironic part. I'm finishing up the USA Conquest Map and since I picked Alonso I have completed FOUR pitcher (600XP) henchmen missions.
Granted two of them were already at 300PXP, so technically I did 3.
.
But how ironic is it that I have earned 1800 in PXP for pitchers and I still haven't hit a HR with Alonso?

Cue Alanis. I think we all have a guy we just can’t hit bombs with l. Judge has been mine for a long time.

And of course after I type this I finally hit one.

That's some dedication. I just used blank canvas 23 and knocked that out on MS so I could go back to using cards that I want to use.

Yeah for me I picked Alonso as my first Captain in the NL East and thought for sure I'd get his dingers rather quickly... ended up going to Colorado and hitting 2 bombs and hit the 3rd HR a few games later... when in doubt play in Coors... lol... it's not foolproof but might be more of a mind game because during my homerless streak with Alonso I'd play relaxed on the couch until Alonso's at-bat at which point I'd sit on the edge of the couch locked into the strikezone and doing my best to not swing at "bad" pitches only to hit perfect perfect outs or grounds up the middle or balls down the line and in the gaps with nothing going over the fence... it was a very frustrating time...
as far as the innings missions for pitchers those are definitely the easiest ones to get done, unless your pitcher gets injured like what happened to me with Topps Now Flashback Noah Syndergaard... I ended up only getting credit for 6 innings after taking a liner to the face with one out in the 7th inning... not sure if that happened to anyone else but I was sitting on my couch in disbelief. Ended up playing a Conquest game after that to get the last 3 innings completed but man I was so confused that someone actually got injured in DD... not sure if that was supposed to happen or not.

Unfortunately I was 2/3 done with the USA Map when I picked him so I couldn't play at Coors.
Granted I could've played a 9 inning Play vs CPU game there; but I'm saving the 9 inning CPU games for when I'm done with the USA Map.
But I also hit my second one the very next game after I finally hit my first one.
Ironically I had the 'same' issue with Captain Judge and his 3 homeruns. Took awhile and now he hits at least one every game I play him.
And the 5 XBHs with Captain Rutschman took awhile. Now I'm hitting at least one a game.
Guess it all comes down to whether or not you're pressing or just playing with the card.

And the second one the game after the third one. Read my reply to @romeischillin
As stated; whether or not one is pressing or playing with the card.

Rutschman has been a beast for me... he was an extra base hit machine for me almost instantly... so much to the point that I'm finding it heard to take quite a few of these NL East and AL East cards out of my lineup for the sake of grinding out the other Affinity programs... currently working on the AL West since I was able to pick up 12K or so TA thanks to using the Astros from the WBC (Javier and Garcia as starting pitchers and I believe they also have a reliever or two in the WBC) then I ended up earning two henchmen, chose Reggie and Chapman and completed their missions and then had Gallo a few times in BR and I am almost done with his mission so figured why not do AL West while I can especially after pulling LS Julio Rodriguez
