How is everyone batting .300+ in H2H?
-
I admit I suck and use directional for hitting and usually stay in the 300-500 rating if I make it anything over 600 I get humbled real quick lol but with that being said pretty much everyone I face has an .300 batting average or better. How? I always look at their record at the start up to see if I’m about to get demolished. I see their record and be like well they’re not that good so this should be a good game but yet when I look at what their batting average it’s always .300+.
For the record I’m hitting .183 but when I see pretty much everyone I face hitting .300+ yet their record is similar to mine what gives? This isn’t a small sample size either I’ve played over 45 games against people with similar records as mine so what gives? I feel like if I can hit anything close to .300 I’d be really really good.

Woah,woah,woah.... according to this forum, directional always gives them an advantage!

I'm 20-6 and rated like 670 or thereabouts. I'm hitting .288 and slugging close to .700. Very average player. But I played a guy earlier who threw Bob Gibson and just speed-pitched and spammed fastballs in the zone the entire time, even after I cranked like 8 HR's. There are some guys like that out there who help your average...
You might be running into good players who have yet to move up into their natural divisions...?

If you play a lot of Events and some BR it can inflate your batting average quite a bit. I am 21-0 in Ranked right now and my batting average in Ranked games is like .330 overall. Not amazing, but still getting used to HOF. In events I probably bat .450-.500.
Those type of players also probably quit right away against anyone that can remotely hit so they stay at the lower levels.

That actually makes a lot of sense about the BR inflated state since they go up against silver and gold pitchers didn’t think of that. I don’t usually play those cause I already know I’m not good so why spend stubs if I know ima lost 1st or 2nd game at best

I’d be more than happy to hit .288 last year my best hitter was Chipper Jones at .24ish and I had him for a lonnnggg time. Loved his swing and got his swing in my CAP catcher.

Can’t be all of them using zone with sup par records. I literally faced guys with under 50% and yet there BA is really good.

It’s because you’re in the 300-500 range. I know when I first started ranked seasons I was mashing EVERYTHING…Once I reached 600 I was batting .400+ with every one of my starters. Now my averages have dropped across the board because I’m playing better opponents & on harder difficulties…Make sense?
