PS5 upgrade

Bought the ps4 standard edition on disc but purchased the deluxe add on in the ps store.
Just bought a ps5 but can't seem to upgrade to the ps5 version. Might just come down to buying the ps5 version and selling the ps4 disc.

Did you buy the PS5 console that takes discs? If you did I then I believe all you do is put your disc in and press the “…” next to the press play game button and can upgrade for free. I have the Digital Edition PS5 so don’t take my word as the end all be all on the subject.

Yep I bought the disk version of the ps5. Thats what I kept seeing but there wasn't an option to select a version in the "..." menu.
