i normally am fine with quick counts but the stamina issue makes things unplayable

What is the brilliant idea behind starting the counts in Events? I played my first game this year and had no idea what was going on when I struck out on the 2nd pitch, and then I saw the new change. I utterly, totally detest this stupid new change! Why did SDS do it? It' s not remotely baseball. It takes away strategy (like bunting, for example) when you suddenly have 2 strikes before you've even set foot in the box. CHANGE THIS BACK!!!! It's the worst change you've ever made.
That's just how events are... that's why this Event is called "See Ball, Hit Ball"
If every Event was the same it might as well be BR but with your own inventory instead of drafting your players.

I guess I've never played in an event like this before, and wasn't aware they do this on occasion every season. But I didn't see any mention of it in the Rules section of the event. Sorry if I overreacted to a common occurrence. That said, still not a fan.

I'm personally not a fan of events. It's like conquest but you actually play against a real person. To me the rewards are ok, but at some point I can just buy them later instead of the grind. That's me though.

Literally the second rule on the event homepage says quick counts enabled...
That said, quick counts sucks [censored].3 inning games are already quick enough, I dont need added RNG to make it even faster, especially when it always screws one person. One guy gets a bunch of 3-1 counts in the top of the third and then the guy losing in the bottom of the 3rd gets 1-2 counts.

it was a bad idea to have for the egg hunt a bunch of people tried multi player games for the first time trying to get eggs and had nothing but matchups against waybetter players in some modes and the stupied quick counts in events it just proves to offline players that online play is just not worth it or fun
Here's the thing... you didn't have to win the game(s) to get the egg. I think you had to win your ranked game but not the events one. I ended up winning my ranked game and if you are playing for the first time in ranked you'll be in spring training so I'd imagine at some point you'd get that first win if you play the mode consistently enough, not to mention getting credit for innings and other stats with the Ranked Seasons Program... should be more of an incentive for me to play Ranked more. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my 1 ranked and 2 events games I played this morning.

The only thing Events has in common with Conquest is that the games are 3 innings (most Events unless this changed because I remember whatever year Events was first introduced the games could be 3, 6 or 9 innings but I think people complained so it might just be 3 now which I thought was hilarious)
Also Quick Counts helps me because it teaches me to be more disciplined at the plate as well as on the mound in terms of not swinging right away and figuring out what pitch to throw in different situations... I got burned this morning though... gave up a walk-off 3-run HR to Mike Trout after taking a 2-0 lead in the 4th inning... maybe I should've stuck with Soto but I put Lee Smith in to close it out and yeah, I got the count to two strikes and left the potential third strike up in the zone on the outside and Trout got his bat on it... grrrrrrrrr

I would say the opposite in my case. I have played MLB The Show since 17 (Im in the UK, first year it was available for us) and these were my first online games ever getting these eggs.
And you know what, I enjoyed them, and I didnt suck ashalf as much as I thought I would. Ok I got smashed in ranked but scored a couple and left way too many runners on. But I enjoyed it all the same. Won the events game and then won 1 of 2 BR games going for the HR.
I will definitely be back online thanks to this experience.

For scrubs like me who cant win max rewards w/o it. No reason to complain when it changes every three days
