Co-op Mode Question

Has it been discussed why there is still fill in players this year? Why in co-op mode are we not able to build an entire team? Why are we forced to use their gold players. Not a fan of this but I just want to know the reason behind it to better understand why the mode is designed this way.

I’ve been trying to figure this out myself. It falls on deaf ears. I would just like to know the reason why they did it last year. Surely there is a reason why. It kinda hurts the captain cards in co op.

Posted this on co op section but why not remove the draft and use your squad with a friend and alternate . That's how co op with real teams works.
Works is a big word though I have not played one full DD co op yet.

Maybe they will do something about it. I was thinking about how many pitchers we are bringing 6 is to many. 1 starter and a few relief pitchers maybe give 2 more slots for position players. I don’t know but 6 pitchers to 6 position players just seems off.
