Why can you put in a starter as a reliever in Ranked Co-op?

I've had multiple games where teams get lit up by me and my buddies and they just swap to a different starter, one of them being nolan ryan which is one of the few outlier starters right now. It completely ruins the flow of the game after you get used to a certain pitcher for 2-3 innings and so then why bother picking relievers at all since you don't ever have to use them?

Why not? It's not against MLB rules! Should SDS just make up rules like not allowing people to use which ever pitcher they like?

In regular ranked you have to deal with stamina bars carrying over game to game so putting in a different starter in isn't viable but in ranked co-op they're always full stamina even after the starter is used in previous games.

I can see how it would be difficult for ranked co-op to have that stamina issue since the players and teams change each game.

I think it's simple fix at least explanation wise, maybe not programming wise but since the pitcher pick is random. The other options that were picked start with low stamina as if they just pitched the game before.

Just saying though....we have a Shohei Ohtani CP 97 overall. If its allowed in real life, why wouldn't it be allowed in a video game?

It's not about specific cards. It has nothing to do with real life, it's the stamina system in ranked co-op doesn't reflect the same as regular ranked since all the starters will have full stamina when in regular ranked game to game that isn't the case
