SHOWDOWN Question
-
So it took me at least 50 tries to finish the 1st Inning Showdown but I got it done. My issue now is, difficulty wise, how are the AL/NL Division ones in terms of difficulty? Obviously the Starter Showdown was a breeze. 1st Inning was mostly Rookie & Veteran and then All Star difficulty at the end. We got 70 Program Stars for 1st Inning @ 500 stubs a try. Given the division ones are 1000 stubs to play and only worth like a tiny amount of Team Affinity points, is it WORTH IT to bother playing these? I'd do it if it wasn't as hard to complete the 1st Inning Showdown. If anyone can advise me well, please do so.
TIA

if you want affinity points and showdown is tough grind MTO out. even just veteran gets you 40 some points and can easily grind out in half a day

I was like you and had a tough time beating the first inning program. Took me like 50+ tries but the division showdowns I’ve been doing at a very high success rate. I find them much easier. You’ll run into some bs here and there like crazy diving catches but as a player who struggled with the first inning program I highly recommend the divisional showdowns. I have 6 FOTF players so far and plan on getting a few more today depending how this event goes.

ok cool. What is the difficulty for most of it? Is it rookie/veteran and then AS at the end like 1st inning showdown?

The first few are veteran and the end is mostly all star, I think there are some blue moments on HoF, but only one or two.

I have only done MTO once so far, but I got 52 on veteran. It appears to be the easiest way to get the 50 for the FotF players.

I did a couple MTO's but man does it ever get boring. At least with showdown there's some variety. Only drawback is the low point size for finishing a showdown.

These "blue moments"...does that mean you can infinitely try to complete that particular segment/mission of the showdown?

It means if you fail you can continue on, you just dont get the rewards for that mission.

I See. so there is a shot that you end up dumping 1000 stubs and end with jack sheezy if you don't win the final showdown.....I think I might pass on Div Showdowns if that's the case!! Especially if some of the difficulty levels are at HOF!!!

If you beat the first mid boss and a couple of the blue moments you should make your money back. I havent had much luck with Showdowns and I've only lost stubs a couple times.

I mean...if you only get 4 points from a div showdown, i'm better off playing CPU with an entire team and play 9 inning games for the 5 points after 250 innings.
-
You get either 5 or 6 vouchers worth 4 points each, you can use them all on one team if you want. If you can beat Showdown its definitely faster than MtO or vs CPU, it's just easier said than done.

ahhhh, didn't know that either! thanks man. i got options then wtvr the case. ill dump the 1000 stubs will give it a shot.
-
Yea you actually get 20 points towards the team affinity not just 4. You can use all 5 vouchers on the same team. I find this much more fun than MTO and even if you don’t beat the final boss you make your 1000 stubs back half way through. If you beat the final showdown you end up profiting a couple thousand stubs and get a couple free packs.
