Doesn't anyone take their time playing anymore?

Just finished an Event game where I threw a total of 9 pitches the whole game.

I won. But that's not the point. My opponent swung at EVERYTHING I threw.

He quit in the bottom of the third.

The fame lasted about 15 mins and that's only because I took my time and actually took pitches instead of free swinging.

You all do know that you dont get any extra rewards if you finish a game in 5 mins?

Nobody wants to sit around for 5 hours playing a six inning game. I just played 45 minutes and the guy was pausing every other batter, took every pitch up to 0-2 and started fouling off every ball. It’s no fun.

But what's the point of playing if you're just trying to get it done as fast as possible? Then once you get to the end; people will grip that there's nothing left to play.

I've been known to hurry a game up by swinging wildly (if the game is in the later innings) if I have to take care of something (like taking the dog out), but I don't want to quit. I don't care about the wins, I just need the innings.
