Small Sample Size. But not sure Online play is for me.

Played about 25 BR games. Won some. Lost some. Seems like more of a 'chore' than I want right now.
But I think I may just cut my losses and stick to offline play. My Buy Order for MS Randy just went through; so I'm hoping they drop some more offline content so I can use him for awhile.
Until then I think I'm just going to take a break. Online play isn't working for me at the moment.

What don’t you like about it? Have you tried playing the Event? Ranked?

Agreed OP. Too much BS online. I used to think COD was bad online until I started playing this game online the last 2 years. I have google fiber and a monitor and the lag and idiots online make it no fun. I play to have fun, not struggle or get mad at servers and other people. The struggle with the game is frustrating enough offline. I don't need to go back online to make it worst.

The ball jumps on me when online
I strikeout 2 of 3 outs and i am really trying.
When offline game is smooth.
Not my online experience at all -
BR is tough bc it is the sweatiest and also I think the most absurd things happen. so so many HR and long at bats and really tough to get going. there def is a frame rate difference or well imo a ping difference

I'm more of a 'sit down to have fun' player. I have no problem losing a game as long as that player beats me because they were better than me that game.
I came across to many players that had a 'win at any cost' attitude.
One person I played threw 16 consecutive pitches low and in the dirt, to see if I would swing at garbage, thus setting up AS Steven Vogt with bases loaded when he came up to bat. Now, I won't swing at ANYTHING until I have two strikes. So I waited for him to throw three more pitches in the dirt before they threw a strike. One the next pitch I put my PCI low in the zone and connected with what should've been a 4 run Grand Slam; but my opponent dashboarded. Kicker is even before I could exit the game; they messaged me and said that they weren't going to play someone that oy swings at pitches in the zone. Hello, isn't that what you're supposed to do?
Getting the win was nice. But I lost out on some PXP with Vogt (one of the Missions).
I think out of the 20ish opponents that I faced; maybe 5 we're actually decent games. The rest was garbage plays.
Also, out of all my drafts, I think I drafted a Veteran pitcher 3-4 times. And it's seems like it's impossible to get strikes with them. I'm painting corners and dotting the edges but it's either a ground out or fly out. I think I have 2-3 out of the 10 strikes needed to complete that mission.
Since I now have all the cards available there really isn't any incentive, other than wanting to play a human opponent, to play online.
Just seems like the juice isn't worth the squeeze.
And I'm sure Events/Ranked would possibly be the same way.
I have appointments today and tomorrow so I won't have time to sit down to play a game. Maybe I'll try again Thurs/ Fri, or even after the holiday, to see if maybe I was pressing to hard.

Did the guy call you a center swinger by chance? I stick to RS because I enjoy longer games. You could have better luck over there.

The best is playing a p5 Randy who is afraid to pitch in the zone. Maybe one strike per AB.
I know, I know -- don't swing, but my reaction time isn't what it used to be. There's something of an honor code to this. I pitch in the zone about half the time.
Online pitchers in this game have tiny cojones.

The only game I have seen with a worse online experience is Gran Turismo.

Lol exactly, everyone will call you out as the guy who chases, but none on the ball thrower. My only thing I hate is on you work walks and double plays are so so so common anx always turned which sucks

I like building a team, collecting the cards but I’m not intense enough about this for online play. Offline suits me just fine.

I was mostly an offline player last year as it was my first year playing and being an older player. I moved online later in the season and enjoyed it. This year I found offline to be a chore, grind, and like a job. I really only want to play online now which I have seen my skills improve quit a bit. Maybe give it some time in next year's game if you decide to play. You may enjoy it more when the player base is higher.
