Diamond Dynasty

To me, Diamond Dynasty is the best game mode out there for any sports game.
The only downside is the reset that comes at the end of each year. I understand why that is - relative to both competitive balance and SDS’s need to monetize the mode. That said, I think I have a solution…

XP-based experience only allows five levels of progression. Expand that, infinitely. Each new level would require double the points of the previous level.
-
Restrict the number of players that can be trained. My idea would be to set either a 26 or 40 man roster. If you remove a player from the roster, their progression would reset. This would keep “old” cards relevant. But, obviously, new challenges could require some sort of investment in new cards.
-
In game play, adjust all players’ attributes dynamically based on the highest rated players - that way you don’t have 125mph fastballs or guys running 50 feet per second.
The above steps, in my opinion, would create a motivation to continue to play the mode through each offseason. I mean, let’s face it. Right now, we’re all just finishing up whatever collections, just for the sake of something to do. How long is that going to last?
