Let's have some honest competition in BR at least

Win or lose, does anyone else want to play some baseball? Like, throw pitches, hit pitches, round the bases, that kind of stuff?
I do. But one of the many problems seems to be that freeze-offs can be triggered (intentionally?) via stoppage methods (a combination of them). I won't say exactly how to avoid assisting anyone, but it's just happened and it happened after my pitch was selected and I was starting to throw, which should be an uninterruptible moment in gameplay.
Which got me thinking... ok, I get it, sometimes breaks need to happen in a ranked game. It's 9 innings or more, takes a while.
But BR? Come on. The clue should be in the mode's name. If there's one place in the game's online modes where we should just go in and play without all these breaks, it's BR. "Battle Royale." Jeez Louise. Start the mode, and play. If you can't commit 15 minutes to BR without all these breaks, then I suggest there may be something a touch illegitimate about those breaks, seeing as how a combination of different stoppages can create the situation I'm in.
I'm playing an elimination BR game right now where this has happened, which means my opponent is in the same boat I'm sure. I'm not precious about W-L or anything like that but losing program progress is annoying when I don't get a lot of time each day to play anymore.
My thought about BR is that continuous gameplay in this mode would/should more or less eliminate freeze-offs. If you're ready to play BR, just commit your time, dive in, and play the game straight through, win or lose.
Use quick menu for pitching change/defensive subs, but pause menu, even R2, they've got to go in BR. Just play. I won't say exactly how or the sequence, but for sure those can create the freeze and as I said earlier, it was after my pitch was selected and I was starting to throw. I'd like at least one online mode where I can just compete and play the game knowing it's a true one-on-one without the coding being a third wheel.
(exiting the freeze now to get on with my day!)
