Help with Granderson Moment - Stealing Base
-
I am struggling with stealing a base during the Granderson "Celebrated ASG" moment. I have failed every time and it is usually not even close. Before the steal, I give him an R1 (one click) lead and try to get moving with the pitch, but he seems so sluggish to respond. I am not use to the first person control and having to use analog to get him to run.
I've tried to change the base running options (While in the Moment) but it doesn't have an option to change how the baserunner is controlled.
Any suggestions or tips on how to steal a base in this moment?
Thanks!

Hold R1...he'll lean toward second and get a better jump

Ok, so this is how I’ve done ALL of my SB moments. The pitcher will look over towards 1B, give him 1.5 seconds then hit steal. He should start his motion about that time. If it doesn’t work, go off of after he faces back towards the batter. You’ll get in first or second attempt.

Plus, if you watch the catcher, while keeping the corner of your eye on the pitcher, you'll see the catcher go in a crouching position. Take off then.

This is the key point, I did this challenge first try just by taking off the moment i saw the catcher move their glove.

Thanks! I'll try those suggestions.

I dont even know how this moment is possible everytime the batter swings and makes contact or a runner is in front of me

Hold your L stick to the left, and slowly roll it towards the right side from 9 to about 5 on a clock, as soon as the C moves, go! If he attempts a pickoff, your L stick is still pointing left according to the indicator. It’s always worked

I won't know until after the kid goes to bed tonight!
I suspect it will take me time to get the rhythm down, but at least I know how others have gotten it done, so I'll be less discouraged to keep trying.
I'll report back.

Yes! It totally worked first time I tried the above advice. I went with watching the catcher instead of the pitcher, but I suspect both techniques work equally well. As soon as the catcher moves into position, start the run. It's clear that before this advice I was starting my run way too late.
I only tried it once. It may not work every time, but that's the ticket.
Thanks all for the great advice!
