Selecting starting pitcher in BR game

What can someone be doing that it takes them more than 10-15 secs to select their pitcher?
How hard is it to hit a button?

Getting a drink, using the bathroom, and helping the kids are a few that come to mind.

Then how come it still takes them that long after I back out?
I'll wait 10-15 secs until they select a pitcher then they'll hit Ready ASAP.
But if I back out to the pitcher screen; it still takes them that long, or longer, to select the pitcher the second time.

Trying to take a [censored] and/or grabbing some juice for the kids in the lineup screen all the time.
