What Can SDS Do To Keep This Game Fresh?

It feels like the game really stalls out just after the All Star break every year. There's loads of content, mostly maxed out 99 ovr teams and nothing to look forward to after the mid summer classic.

Madden has the same problem but usually after the Super Bowl and it seems like 2k has its players engaged all year long until the new one comes out.

What can SDS do? Rewards are worthless since anything you can pull in the pack can easily be had by spending 8 minutes flipping cards and even the rewards from RS, BR and especially events can be had fairly easily by flipping.

I like the game and gameplay but [censored], DD gets really old, really fast.
