Finest 97 Dontrelle

This would seem to confirm that Classic Finest is the best card a Legend player can have as D-Train had a Milestone to start the year.
So players like Howard seemingly would get a 99 Classic finest

Agreed, and last year there were a few players who had a final card and then got a Finest like Bryce Harper and Ohtani. Kenny Loften also got an Award card after getting a Milestone so it doesn't seem like there really any rules though I know it's been said the MS, Sg series?, Awards and prime were the final card.

I hate not knowing what a guys best card will be. There no guarantee that a classic finest is the best (or if any particular player will get a classic finest. I’m not a fan of all the different sets, frankly. And I really wish there was some idea if there is a better card coming down the line. Dontrelle birth cards. Pujols a 95 milestone, a 96 AS and likely a 99 coming. I think Adam Dunn got a prime and then a classic finest. Letter and Howard’s prime probably not their best version. I just like know which version is the best

Why does it matter? I guess for me it doesn’t matter because by the time some of these guys get their best cards I won’t be playing.
