This year it defaults to the higher rating difficulty.

Think it's been like that for a few years. Read up in the DD guide on your team's tab.

Im confused about this still. I know it was always you play on the higher ratings difficulty. But I'm pretty sure either last year or the year before that they switched it to the lower ratings difficulty. And I only remember this because I remember them saying that but it still said the opposite in the guide.
It would be nice if maybe they could just put somewhere on the screen in game what difficulty you were on.

It switched last year. And I don't think they have updated the guide in quite some time so I'm not really sure how accurate it is

I can't get my lame [censored] past 601 ranking so I never have had to worry about it lol

Yeah I'm not sure what the big secret is. I can never tell until I see the other players rating after the game ends.

Play practice mode on HOF and you will be killing everything in no time.
