Pickoffs at 2B

Not sure if this has been addressed or noticed yet.... But I am 100% with pickoffs when someone decided to take an extra step and I'm playing the runner close at 2B. That is not an exaggeration. Anyone else notice this ? I mean I love the fact that I can get an automatic out, but on the flippity flop it'd be nice to swipe 3rd once and a while too... But I don't dare try without being able to maybe sneak in an extra step.

I haven't noticed this. I can't pick off anyone at any base if they take 1 step lead offs, 2 or 3 yeah I'll get them. But it's gotten to the point where I'm just like go ahead and take the step, I'm not even going to waste my time throwing over

1st base I've gotten maybe like 3 people all year. 2nb base if someone is taking the extra step and my middle infield is holding em close...it's automatic.

Same. Picked off a dude twice in one game at 2b. He stopped his BS right quick after that lol

100% for me. If you move you ss to cover 2nd after they take a lead it’s an Instant pickoff. No matter what

As it should be. If you are being held on you cannot take crazy leads.

No it’s a cheese move I’m talking about where you have nobody guarding the bag and they take a lead and then you would go to the quick menu and cover second and then throw it’s a broken mechanic they need to fix

It's almost 100% for me when I pick off with righties, but rarely with lefties idk.

For those not aware this is cheese because what happens is the game teleports the player to the bag while unpaused. What should happen is after you unpause the MI walks over to the bag.
But essentially, you lead, quick menu cover bag teleports guy to bag that wasn't there, likely instant pick off.
If someone does this to you, you have two options: 1 start mashing R1... or 2 immediately send your runner to 3B because the guy is going to throw behind you to 2B, need 90+ to do this and you'll catch him so off guard.
There's actually another option... send the runner then stop with R2, the player will likely throw to 3B immediately in panic and you can then get back to the bag.

I know this was in issue in 20 or 21 anyone who tried to take an extra step from second was automatic pick off, it was so easy to pick guys off. You did not need the from the quick menu.

I didn't ever notice a guy teleport? I'll just do my regular pickoff and it gets them every time ?
Interesting. I mean it's obviously a flaw either way, but was not aware of the teleport thing? -

Interesting. I mean it's obviously a flaw either way, but was not aware of the teleport thing?It happens when you are in situation with no one covering 2B. No one covering, runner rightfully takes extra lead. But if pitcher then hits the quick menu to change the shift to Cover 2B, your infielder teleports to the bag, you can't change your lead in the menu, so pitcher exits and immediately mashes pickoff to catch you.
Next time you are pitching even if no one is on, go into quick menu and change your shift, you will notice players on the field just magically move around.
