Is it just me or do people feel that the worse they hit the ball the better the chance of it being a hit? I will admit I'm not good at this game.

Every micro transaction driven game will punish high performers (to frustrate them and keep them pending money) and boost low performers to keep them in the game so that they eventually spend money or at least hang around as cannon fodder for the money spenders.

Nah, I played Madden Ultimate Team for too many years to miss the signs. I'm a new player to the Show and I definitely get buffed against stronger players.

Agreed. That isn't my point though...the game engines in every micro transaction game are optimized to maximize active users, percentage of paying users and spend per paying user. Gameplay will at times deliberately penalize good teams and money spenders and boost lower end teams.
This game in particular is much easier to be good in without spending money than Madden Ultimate Team. There is a ton of high quality free content, and skill actually gets rewarded in gameplay.

Truth. Madden is so bad I had to retire. I was #1 in madden 05 too, not a [censored]. What they did to most sports games is a joke.
