DD Freeze Offs

Does anyone know how to unfreeze frozen DD games? I understand there are people out there that can purposely freeze the game for the win. Currently on hour 14 off a freeze off and have tried disconnecting my controller and reconnecting and that has not worked..
On the other hand how has SDS not found a solution to this issue?? It has been like this for 6 years.. I guess I’m the clown because I continue to feed into it for 6 years

How do you know THEY initiated the freeze?

Ranked, Event, or BR game?

Score and inning?

Why wait 14 hours? Imagine how many games you could've played during that time.

I just had that happen. I just waited it out and eventually the other player either lost connection or quit. I just joined online for first time ever this weekend, so don't know how to tell if they froze on purpose or not. My game was a scoreless tie in third inning and I just got my first hit.

I know they’re initiating it because I have heard other people say they can freeze the game by stepping out of the box and disconnecting their controller. From there they have the power to unfreeze it by disconnecting the controller again or something close to that.
In a ranked game, a loss could set you back another 3 games till you’re back to where you would have been with a win… so that’s why I waited haha
Currently in another freeze off in the 9th inning, 1 out and I’m up 4-2. Guy was stepping out of the box and disconnecting his controller after with everyone after the 6th inning and finally got his freeze off smh
